Our Sunday Morning services through September have been warmly welcomed by all who have attended.
With the wonderful support of The Bude Ministry Team, and in particular Sister Alison and our own Worship Leader Richard Painter, and the continued support from our recently retired Vicar Rev Richard Ward-Smith, we have been able to carry on praising our Lord God and Jesus Christ for all that is good in Morwenstow and being able to support those in need within our community.
We have hosted several weddings during the summer at this wonderful Church which is not only for worship but for the celebration of life in general. As such we wish to remind you of our Harvest festival to be held on Sunday 2nd October at 9:30am. The children of St Marks School will be coming to Church on Tuesday 4th October at 9.00am to celebrate Harvest Festival.
Sister Alison will be holding a drop in session at St Marks School for parents to meet her and for her to explain what we as a Church can offer to all the community. This will take place on Friday 7th October at 8.45 – 10:00am and again the following Friday 14th October.
We shall be holding on Sunday 9th October at 9.30am a Service dedicated to healing and wholeness which we can gaurantee will be of great interest and thought provoking.
Our Bellringing team held their annual tour headed by our dedicated Bell Tower Captain Mr Aurtur Bryant, starting at Combe Martin and ending up at Mortoe after visiting six Churches in all. Apart from a great day out it improves the skills of the team in competition and for services at our Church.
In January 2017 we shall be starting to hold a messy Church service which has proven to be of great success with our sister Churches.
Last but not least, we have as a PCC been working with The North Kernow Cluster of Curches, and our Friends of Kilkhampton PCC, to finalise matters for the replacement of our much loved Rev Richard and will keep you updated as to progress on this very important matter.
